Job Title: Senior Accountant - Level II

Reports to: Controller

Position Level: Exempt

Job Summary: Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will assist in the daily operations of the Accounting Department and participate with the monthly closings, assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statements and Provider Cash Available Reports, as well as assist with various special projects, as assigned by the Controller. This is a full-time, exempt position. In addition to a generous base salary you will be eligible for an annual bonus.

This is an on-site position located at our offices in Land O'Lakes, FL

Essential Functions of the Position:

Assist with month end closing of the Company general ledger, by providing support and analysis of all Balance Sheet accounts
Assist with month end closing of the Company general ledger, by providing support and analysis of Profit & Loss accounts
Assist with month end closing of the Company general ledger, by providing support and analysis of Provider Cash Available Reports
Prepare, compile, and post monthly adjusting journal entries, as approved
Review assigned Cash Availables for accuracy and completeness
As directed, assist in the building and maintenance of Excel infrastructure related to Company reports
As directed, analyze General Ledger postings for appropriateness
Assist in providing information required by the Company's outside accounting firm for the preparation of financial statement attestation and tax returns
Interact with the Controller regularly to assist with special projects, as directed
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Additional Responsibilities:

Upholds the highest level of confidentiality
Provide documentation of processes developed for job functions
Collaborate with other accounting personnel to provide contemporaneous financial reporting

Physical and Mental Demands:

Normal physical ability; able to sit for long periods
Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
High level verbal and written communication skills
Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Normal work hours in the office

Occupational Exposure:

Low risk exposure to blood borne pathogens and chemical hazards

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science or Arts in Accounting, CPA certification preferred
3 years of experience in Public Accounting Firm or 5 years Healthcare Specific experience preferred
Superior Knowledge and Proficiency of Microsoft Excel
Two Years or more previous general ledger accounting, financial reporting experience preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as a customer service mind-set required
Strong team player
Proficiency in relevant accounting software
Attention to detail and accuracy
Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
