Are you an experienced finance professional seeking a role that provides a clear path for growth and development? Do you have experience with transactional finance and management accounts? Are you a confident, personable team player with strong attention to detail?We are a delighted to be supporting a dynamic and forward-thinking company based in Marston Green. This multifaceted business are now on the lookout for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between transactional and management accounts, providing crucial support in both areas of finance. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of Management Accounts for specified areas of the business, allowing you to develop your skills and grow in your role.This role comes with an annual salary of up to £37,000 dependant on previous experience.Key

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out month-end procedures, such as prepayments, accruals, trial balance, and building packs.
  • Support with transactional finance tasks, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable e.g. processing invoices, statement reconciliations and bank reconciliations etc.
  • Take ownership of Management Accounts for specified areas of the business, overseeing the process from start to finish.
  • Act as the bridge between transactional and management accounts.
  • Support with monthly reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve processes and drive efficiency within the finance function.

Candidate Skills and Attributes:
  • AAT qualification or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in transactional finance and management accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
