Assistant Management Accountant | Hospitality | East London (Hybrid) | £36,500

A leading hospitality group operating several restaurant across London alongside. Positioned for significant expansion in the next few years, the company is actively seeking additional sites.

  • Prepare management accounts, including balance sheets and income statements for each restaurant entity. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Manage the processing of invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and promptly. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Ensure the accuracy of accruals and prepayment reporting.
  • Cost of Sales reporting and reconciliation. Reporting of inventory movements and liaising with Purchasing to ensure the accuracy of food and beverage cost of sales.
  • Reporting of daily, weekly, and monthly sales for the operating entities and licensed restaurants. Process sales journals and sales reconciliations.
  • Maintain complete and accurate fixed asset registers.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies on time.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate processing of payroll journals and reporting. Assist in reconciling payroll reports and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance controls within the finance function. Implement best practices to optimize financial operations.

The Successful Applicant

  • QuickBooks experience preferable.
  • A finance professional with at least 3 years relevant experience in a multi-site Hospitality or Retail business.
  • You will be qualified/part qualified and studying towards attaining a professional qualification with a recognised accountancy body or qualified by experience.
  • Good Excel skills
  • Career-orientated, driven and highly motivated to succeed in your role and develop into more senior roles within Finance or the wider business.
