FLEETCOR is currently looking to hire a Payroll Specialist within our Human Resource department. This position will support the Payroll team. Primary duties and responsibilities processing and reporting of employee payroll. Serving as a technical expert for payroll matters with a deep understanding of payroll law, tax regulations and accounting principles. Includes in depth understanding of payroll systems, interfaces, as well as posting and correcting errors. Must be proficient in Workday, Dayforce. You will report directly to the VP HR Systems, Reporting and Analytics regularly collaborating with the Human Resource, Payroll and Compensation team.

What you'll be doing

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Supporting the payroll process.
  • Reviewing and reconciling all payroll accruals to the general ledger.
  • Working with third-party payroll providers.
  • Serving as a liaison to employees to resolve payroll-related issues/disputes
  • Servicing quarterly and annual external audit requests;
  • Analyst compliance initiatives associated with the payroll process;
  • Promoting an environment and presenting ideas for continuous improvement in payroll procedures;
  • Auditing Workday HCM and Dayforce HCM system to ensure payroll data is correct and data is accurately reflected; investigate & resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of Payroll experience.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand Payroll law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and well organized.
  • Workday and/or Dayforce experience.
  • Maintains knowledge and legal compliance regarding compensation practices.
  • Experience with Datacom and ADP preferred, not required
