Are you an experienced bookkeeper with a positive and proactive approach? We have a newly created role in a growing consulting and resource solutions business, offering part-time and hybrid working.

Role Overview:

  • Position: Part-Time Bookkeeper
  • Location: City of London (with remote work options)
  • Hours: 24 hours per week (equivalent to 3 days)
  • Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Ledger Management:
Handle sales ledger tasks, with credit control support available from another team member.
Transactional Work:

  • Maintain accounts by verifying and posting transactions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations for UK, US, Euro, and Polish accounts.
  • Manage client invoices and payments.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
  • Generate monthly management reports.
  • Assist with year-end information and end-of-year management reporting and forecasting.

Additional Duties:

  • Potentially manage internal payroll.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and banking contacts.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong bookkeeping skills with previous experience in a similar role (minimum part-qualified or QBE).
  • Confidence in transitioning to online accounting software (e.g, SAP or Xero).
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheets.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Computer literacy, including experience with international transactions and payroll processing (desirable).
