Reporting To: Head of FAIR


As a FAIR Senior Associate in the FAIR team, you'll contribute to producing high-quality analytical reports. This involves analyzing and recalculating fees and expenses related to private equity and alternative investments. Reporting to the VP of FAIR, your role includes managing a team responsible for examining financial data and offering clients insights into their management fee, expense, and carried interest structures. Responsibilities also entail providing training, reviewing team work, and offering one-on-one coaching to local staff.

What you'll be doing:
  • Review detailed reports covering management fees, partnership expenses, and carried interest across various alternative investments such as private equity, real estate, private debt, and real assets
  • Ensure consistent application of methodologies in data extraction, fee recalculation, and report creation
  • Identify inconsistencies or significant variances and collaborate with senior team members for resolution
  • Conduct detailed review of reports created by senior analysts/analysts to ensure adherence to methodology, accurate calculations, proper formatting, and relevant commentary
  • Collaborate with other FAIR Senior Associates and VP to develop quarterly work plans
  • Train new staff, support their learning process, and monitor their performance and provide constructive feedback to FAIR Senior Analysts/Analysts on their work output

What you'll bring to us:
  • Strong comprehension of financial statements, including supplementary information like capital account statements and ILPA templates
  • Basic understanding of limited partnership agreements, private equity fund structures, and associated fees
  • Displays ownership and self-motivation to achieve KPIs while delivering high-quality results
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with teams across different geographical locations
  • Preferred certifications include CA, CPA, CFA, CAIA, ACCA, or similar qualifications in accounting/finance
  • Previous experience in team management is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and execution, with the adaptability to accommodate changing project priorities
