Our client is an international company operating in Business to Business consultancy.

Your new role
Reporting to the Divisional Finance Director, you will manage a team of 5 and support the MD of the business unit to shape the long-term strategy and development by providing the right level of challenge, analysis and thought leadership. You will take the lead on finance and commercial activities undertaken across the business unit, to inspire, coach and support the functions within the business unit in order to promote continuous improvement and an enhanced cost management culture throughout. As the "outward facing" ambassador for the business unit team with regards all areas of financial and commercial matters, you will lead the evaluation and presentation of risk and reward for new business, commercial innovation, pricing and risk mitigation activities.

Ensuring compliance across the business unit with group's financial and commercial policies and standards, and being the custodian of statutory and regulatory financial
requirements, ensuring the appropriate level of awareness in all areas of the business unit will be required, as well as working with the wider Finance community to drive change and transformation across the business unit, particularly within the Finance function. You will also assist with the continuing integration of the ERP system.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with finance business partnering and project accounting experience ideally gained in a large, matrix-structured, multinational, commercial organisation. You will have the ability to offer a full range of trusted business partner support to the MD of the business unit and other key internal stakeholders by building excellent working relationships, providing high quality financial information and providing robust challenge and analysis of all commercial activities. Previous staff management would be beneficial as would experience of large-scale financial system change.
