MBFSNZ is seeking a highly motivated and talented Financial Analytics Specialist to join our team in Newmarket, Auckland. As a Financial Analytics Specialist, you will be the expert in financial analysis and reporting activities on margins, portfolio risk and provisioning, customer behaviour and dealer performance within the Company.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Analyst Specialist plays a crucial role in driving financial analysis, research and forecasting to support key business initiatives. What you'll do:
  • Support the organisation by implementing key financial analytics strategies to support the company's goals and objectives;
  • Analyse and interpret financial data, providing insight and trends to the wider team and senior management to aid with decision-making;
  • Conduct financial analysis to assess company performance and forecast future financial outcomes;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support with financial and business objectives;
  • Prepare and present insightful financial reports, presentations and recommendations to senior management and leaders;
  • Prepare and submit month-end data and reports accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting to mitigate risk


The skills we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field;
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role, with at least 3 years' experience in financial analysis and reporting;
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets;
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting and data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL and/or other financial reporting tools;
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
