Job Overview

We are hiring an Assistant Purchase Manager to join our team at A L Paper House. This position requires a Junior candidate with 1 to 3 years of experience in purchase management. As an Assistant Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and services needed for our Handmade Paper & Paper Products Export business. This is a full-time position located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Salary range will be commensurate with experience and skills.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in purchase management, preferably in the manufacturing or export industry
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management
  • Familiarity with Handmade Paper & Paper Products is a plus
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost optimization opportunities
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Bargaining and decision-making abilities
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for materials and services required for our Handmade Paper & Paper Products Export business
  • Research and identify potential suppliers, negotiate prices, and establish favorable terms and conditions
  • Maintain a strong vendor database, evaluate vendor performance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and finance, to ensure smooth procurement operations
  • Monitor market trends, assess supplier capabilities, and recommend alternative sources of supply to optimize cost and quality
  • Analyze purchase requisitions, review purchase orders, and monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess inventory
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
