Coordinate tasks more efficiently across teams. As a result, Operations has initiated a multi-year journey to standardize and automate workflow at scale.
The team are organized around 4 key pillars:
- Discovery, Data & Analytics - provide strategic insights through discovery tools that can support process understanding in preparation for automation
- Solutions - utilise an integrated suite of automation tooling to drive Operations efficiency & create capacity, using a number of new-to-market tools & technologies, including Power BI, Alteryx, UiPath, Dynamics, Power Platform and Generative AI
- Governance & Control - ensure that Global Operations achieve the set capacity creation targets for 2024 - balancing the need to automate and scale with the required oversight & adherence to risk policies & frameworks.
- Culture & Recognition - create a sizeable cultural shift to recognize & reward a transformation mindset across Global Operations, providing the training, communications & engagement events to support Operations employees on this journey.
The ideal candidate will absorb information quickly, work collaboratively with a global team, and partner to deliver the Transformation goals within Wealth Management Operations.
The resource must be able to demonstrate skill in four key areas:
- Operations Excellence: Coordination with the business/technology to optimize end-to-end process through the training and use of the productivity tools. This includes process mapping and optimization (e.g. Value Stream Mapping (VSM)) and data driven opportunity identification.
- Problem Structuring, Analysis and Quantification: ability to frame and disaggregate high level problems and structure collaborative analyses
- Technical Ability: depth in MS tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel/Word, SharePoint, Jive etc.) to optimize efficiency and communication and provide value through improved business intelligence and metrics.
- Data and Analytics: develop and enhance analytics to demonstrate value from the Process Understanding toolset by deriving insights to drive process and productivity improvements.
Skills Required
Experience with business process improvement initiatives and strong grasp of concepts to drive Operational Excellence (e.g. Root Cause Problem Solving, deep-dive process mapping and discovery)
Evidence of participation in change management and continuous development projects within a complex global organization, preferably Financial Services
Ability to act as a bridge between multiple Operations and Technology areas
Ability to deal with ambiguity and define approaches to bring un-focused issues to resolution
Ability to multitask and prioritize; ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
Excellent written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and strong presentation / training skills for interacting with colleagues, departmental management in a cross-divisional setting
Strong business analysis and business process management skills (e.g. defining a new process, executing the process, focusing on continuous improvement)
Able to operate independently and confidently in dealing with varied stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Self-confident/motivated in achieving business outcomes in collaborative team settings and through virtual work with teams in multiple locations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Power BI.

Knowledge of Morgan Stanley / Morgan Stanley Operations
Professional experience in banking and financial services (preferred in capital markets)
Experience with UiPath Studio/Studio X RPA tools and Alteryx data manipulation software
