Job Description Summary
Responsible for Pricing Analytics, Strategy Formulation and Implementation for Price Gain in India and South Asia Region. Collaborate with Product Segment, Business and Commercial Tools/ IT teams both in the global, region and zone to set up, improve and adopt best practices, pricing process and tools for price setting and price getting by SBUs in the India South Asia region.
Responsible for activities and processes that help the sales organization achieve business objectives. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SBUs / Product Segments, Product Marketing and Finance to determine India and South Asia price for commercial product offering based on value perceived by the market/ customers and the competition. This would determine discount ranges that would drive pricing getting behavior by the front-line sales teams and team leaders.
- Work with SBUs, Finance and Leadership to determine price-margin thresholds, DoA (Delegation of Authority) and approval process in line with Segment, Region and SBU goals.
- Work closely with SBUs, Product Segment, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, and IT teams to set up, roll out and adopt Price / Deal Guidance in CPQ (Configuration Pricing & Quotation) tool to drive, promote and reward price getting behavior of sales organization, separated from cost and margin accretion action taken by Modality / Segment team working with Product, Engineering, Sourcing and Supply Chain.
- Generate pricing data and analysis such as Order Price Index (OPI) and Sales Price Index (SPI) that will guide the work of all other commercial functions and improve their effectiveness to meet price gain objectives.
- Represent India and South Asia region and partner in Global Pricing Initiatives and Programs to adopt best practices as well as shape, align and implement pricing initiatives working with stakeholders in the region.
- Work with the Global SBUs and region teams to determine the right pricing for product offerings including NPIs (New Product Introductions) and come up with strategies that will enable sales team to drive higher price across the portfolio.
- Drive outcome research studies to gather impact data for the products across key measurement factors like driving access, patient outcomes etc. define customer success factors and assess impact of the products scores the defined metrics.
- Developing specialized knowledge of latest commercial developments in own area and communication skills to influence others. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, MBA (Marketing / Finance) from an accredited university
- 10+ years of experience in pricing, marketing, finance or a related field
