Essential Personnel are delighted to be working with a brilliant Accountancy firm who are based in the centre of Stockport who are looking to recruit a Bookkeeper.

This role is a hybrid role, working 2 days from home, and is perfect for an individual who is ready to continue their accountancy journey in a fully supportive organisation. This is an exciting role which covers all elements of the bookkeeping process and will include working on a variety of different clients.

Main

Responsibilities:


Posting sales and purchase invoices

Reconciling bank accounts

Posting payroll journals

Taking accounts up to Trial Balance

Preparing VAT returns

Liaising with various clients providing guidance and resolving queries

Working hours areMonday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:15pm and Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm with an hour for lunch. 2 days per week working from home.

Required Skills:
  • Competent in the use of Sage 50 and ideally Xero
  • Confident in liaising and requesting information from clients
  • VAT preparation experience
  • Competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Confident in attending clients on their premises
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

Desirable Skills:

Experience in bookkeeping on multiple clients

AAT Qualified/Part Qualified (study support available)
