Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team temporarily & once trained after 2 months work remotely/hybrid (2 days a week in office). Requirements:
  • The candidate would require their own laptop and have access to WIFI. The latter would be a necessity as the candidate will work remotely from home once the relevant training has been received and the candidate is able to work on his or her own.
  • Certificate or Diploma or a degree or studying towards a B.Com degree. (not negotiable)
  • Minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience up to Trial Balance.
  • Accpac Windows experience would be advantageous.
  • Bank Reconciliation experience.
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge.
  • MS Word and MS Outlook proficiency.
  • South African Citizen.
  • Accurate with figures and attention to detail.
  • Be a team player and be able to work on their own.
  • Work in a pressurized, deadline-orientated environment.
  • Complete accounts up to the trial balance:
  • Bank Reconciliations and Journals.
  • Processing/capturing of Cash Books/Journals.
  • Completing and updating Working paper files.
  • Liaising to resolve queries.
  • Fixed assets administration:
    • Update fixed assets files with invoices.
    • Update Excel spreadsheets with new amounts.
    • Prepare depreciation schedules.
  • Completing VAT.
  • Check and verify EFT payments on bank's website.

After 2 months of in-house work, the position will become hybrid with only 2 office days per week, This is dependent on the applicants progression after training.
