The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.

Who you will work with

This role is based out of the ORG CoE which sits in the broader Data & Tech cluster at the BCN.

ORG CoE works on building and deploying analytical solutions pertaining to Operating Model and Organization Practice, delivering quality analysis and generating strong business insights. Aca

The team primarily helps Bain case teams, across geographies and industries, solve critical client issues by applying battle-proven diagnostics/ solutions that can identify client pain points related to org, culture and talent.

They also play a significant role in creating, testing and contributing to the proprietary products and Bain IP within the domain, in close collaboration with Organization Practice leadership.

What You'll do

Quickly develop knowledge on different diagnostics/ solutions within Bain Org team as well as the clients managed by own team, helping them cater to multiple stakeholders on a daily basis

Build expertise on existing tools to guide case teams appropriately and help develop newer solutions for the Organization Practice

Own the project planning and process management and lead teams of 2-3 analysts to produce client-ready research and analysis, generating strong business insights and understanding implications

Work under the guidance of a Team Manager / Sr. Team Manager, playing a key role in driving the teams overall answer and final materials, client communication, work planning, and team management

Provide thought leadership and sound business judgment to drive research and analysis on cases across geographies and industries. Identify and employ relevant research sources and analytical tools

Work with different analytical tools and reinforce continuous understanding of Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Qlik and other tools/ software which might be relevant for different workstreams

Ensure timely, high quality, zero-defect research, analysis and output produced by the analysts

Understand client needs across multiple contexts/ geographies/ industries and screen realistic solutions based on sound reality checks to recommend actionable solutions

Communicate data, knowledge, and clearly explain insights and implications for the client to the entire team

Effectively communicate with BCN clients, who are Bain teams around the world

Support new tools development working in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and automate/ innovate on currently existing diagnostics

Consistently seek and provide meaningful and actionable feedback in all interactions; recognize different skills and development needs in oneself and work towards it

Provide coaching to team members to help develop their skills, including sharing knowledge and experience, sharing feedback and create opportunities for team members to learn and grow

Consistently provide responsible feedback in all interactions via conducting performance discussions, writing reviews for appraisal etc.

Assist on Office Management roles (e.g. recruiting, marketing, training, etc.)

About you

Candidates should be graduates / post-graduates with strong academic records

Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies 5-8 years of exposure to managementconsulting

Work experience range in case highest qualification is postgraduate studies 3-6 years of exposure to managementconsulting

Preferred to have a decent understanding of Organization / Operating Model topic with a good insight into diagnostics, metrics and trends covered within this space, especially spans of control analysis, headcount and cost benchmarking, survey-based tools and analytics, etc.

Prior experience with managing small teams (2-4 members) and coaching & mentoring team members is a must

Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are required with knowledge of Alteryx and Tableau/ Power BI preferable

Experience or knowledge in any of advanced skills - SQL, Python, R, GenAI, low-code apps will be preferred

Be good with breaking business objectives into smaller tasks and building project plans

Possess excellent analytic skills, communication skills, team player skills with ability to multiple task and work under pressure

Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working
