Reporting to The CFO: Prep Month/ Year End, Financial Reports, Cashflow, Recons & Inventory Reports, Product Costing Forecasts + Manage Two Teams.
About the Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team based in Otago as an adept accountant. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll collaborate with a team of three, overseeing payroll and accounts. Beyond routine accounting duties, you'll engage in exciting upcoming projects, such as the implementation of new payroll and finance systems and the adoption of Power BI for comprehensive financial and non-financial reporting. This role is perfect for someone seeking diverse challenges and enjoys refining processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct month-end accounting tasks
  • Assist in year-end activities, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Prepare financial and board reports
  • Utilise data analytics, with the support of the Business Analysis Team, to recommend optimal supply and procurement strategies
  • Formulate and analyse management reports
  • Identify and execute process enhancements

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of four years' experience in a related role or professional services
  • CA Accreditation is advantageous
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite
