Job Description

The successful candidate will ensure the end of the month accounting processes and reconciliation of accounts up to trial balance for the respective business units is achieved.

This role could be based in Auckland, New Plymouth or Christchurch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the General Managers of OGC and IVE/ECL and their Management teams with the translation of business strategy and plans into meaningful operational and capital appraisals.
  • Financial Reporting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase order management and assisting in resolving outstanding debt.
  • Planning, quoting and reconciliation for the Oji annual shuts.
  • Spend time in the business branches understanding challenges of each division by branch.
  • Understand intimately the operation and commercial requirements of each business.
  • Ensure financial changes requested by the Business to Financial Services occur.
  • Support the businesses stock management I inventory control and job cost management.
  • Lift internal control and QMS (both Financial and Operational) governance by peer review and self-assessment of business division's controls and oversee the integrity and internal controls of cost control systems.
  • Instigate reporting systems so branches can accurately report on end of month figures.
  • Analyze and report on the margins & KPIs achieved by the various activities in each business.
  • Provide robust analysis of proposed investments, providing assistance in the development of business cases.
  • Analyze and report on the margins expected in tenders and quotes.
  • Support the businesses with their monthly forecasting.
  • Travel between branches as determined in agreement with the GM OGC or IVE/ECL.
