We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client's team as a General Accounts Clerk / Bookkeeper / Store Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general accounting principles and demonstrate proficiency in various accounting tasks such as filing, invoicing, and data capturing. Additionally, this role will encompass store management responsibilities to ensure the seamless operation of our client's establishment.

Job Responsibilities:

General Accounting: Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including but not limited to managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and processing invoices.
Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate and organized filing systems to ensure easy access to financial documents and records.
Data Capturing: Input and update financial data into accounting software systems with precision and attention to detail.
Store Management: Oversee the efficient operation of the store, including inventory management, customer service, and staff supervision.
Petty Cash Handling: Manage petty cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
Debtors/Creditors Management: Monitor and manage debtor and creditor accounts to ensure timely payments and collections.
Basic Bookkeeping: Perform basic bookkeeping tasks up to trial balance.
Point of Sale: Utilise point-of-sale systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
Software Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Sage Pastel Accounting software.
Requirements:

Proven experience or educational background in accounting or bookkeeping.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in both Afrikaans and English languages.
Availability to work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with alternating Saturdays.
