To work in support of management towards the optimal use of financial and tax best practices including providing financial and administrative services to ensure efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations in the finance and supply chain management division.

Full responsibility for maintaining and operating a set of accounts, including subsidiary ledgers,
using automated systems as well as carry out detailed computations to calculate tax liability,
submit tax returns by the relevant deadline, and deal with SARS on behalf of their clients.

Task and Responsibilities:
  • Manage full accounting and tax function of client portfolio
  • Produce monthly management reports
  • Full accounting function to trial balance
  • Provide advice on all tax and accounting matters
  • Prepare, reconcile and submit:
  • Income tax returns for individuals and companies.
  • Provisional tax returns for individuals and companies.
  • VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies, and trusts.
  • PAYE returns for sole proprietors, companies, and trusts.
  • Vat and PAYE calculations
  • Bookkeeping secretarial functions
  • Relevant administration functions
  • CIPC Annual Returns
  • Registration for VAT, PAYE, UIF and SDL
  • Liaise with the clients in a professional manner
  • Dealing with SARS correspondence
  • Preparing and submitting objections and appeals to SARS
  • Confident and able to liaise with the Partners
  • New company registrations
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent knowledge of SARS e-filing as well as the SARS legal frameworks
  • Computer processing skills, general bookkeeping, record-keeping practices, or related
  • job experience of greater than two years in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of individual income tax and employees tax
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately, including percentages, fractions,
  • decimals, and simple mathematical formulae
  • Must be able to work on multiple clients/cases at once
  • Highly motivated with an ability to solve practical problems and follow written, verbal or
  • other instructions with several concrete variables
  • Attention to detail and the ability to organize complex information neatly and accurately.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to compose original correspondence, write reports, have effective interaction with
  • people, and to communicate ideas and receive and process information from others.
  • Self-directed with an ability to learn a systematic approach to accounting and to follow
  • the approach without direction to maintain the integrity of the financial data
  • Ability to operate computer equipment, business equipment and other general office
  • equipment, including telephones and fax machines.
  • Sound written and verbal communications skills
  • Reliable and flexible individual with attention to detail
