Accounts Payable Clerk and Finance Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Duration: Approximately one year, starting from 1st March 2024

Role summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance Team on a temporary basis, covering maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a significant volume of invoices and contributing to the preparation of management accounts, while upholding the exceptional standards of Home House.

Key

responsibilities:


- Accurately process and manage approximately 6,000 invoices per month.

- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including handling prepayments and managing fixed assets.

- Conduct monthly cash counts and reconcile cash transactions.

- Maintain accurate records and reports using Excel, Outlook, and Sage 200.

- Collaborate effectively with other team members and departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

- Adhere to financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

We are looking for:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Sage 200.

- Proven experience in handling high volumes of invoices (experience with around 6,000 invoices per month is preferred).

- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.

- Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable qualities:

- Previous experience in the hospitality or private members club sector.

- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Flexible working:

We allow two days working from home per week after three months of starting, so that the candidate is fully trained and can be left to work without supervision.
