JD for Cost accountant
• Developing and Maintaining the Cost Accounting System:
• Design, implement, and maintain an effective cost accounting system that accurately tracks and reports manufacturing costs.
• Analyzing and Recommending Costs and Cost Savings:
• Continuously analyze manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Provide recommendations to management on cost reduction strategies.
• Conduct internal cost audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of cost data.
• Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Complying with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for Financial Statements:
• Ensure that financial statements related to manufacturing operations adhere to GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Setting Standard Costs of Manufactured Goods:
• Establish and maintain standard costs for manufactured products, including direct material, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead.
• Carrying Out Cost-Volume-Profit (CVP) Analysis:
• Conduct CVP analysis to assess the impact of volume changes on costs, revenues, and profitability.
• Assist in making pricing decisions and determining break-even points.
• Establishing Costs of Business Processes:
• Determine and allocate costs associated with various business processes, such as administration, labor, shipping, and other operational areas.
• Collecting and Analyzing Data on Production Costs:
• Collect data on production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses, and perform detailed analysis to identify cost drivers and trends.
• Playing a Key Role in Budgeting, Pricing Decisions, and Financial Planning:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage budgets for manufacturing operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Qualification- ICWA ( Cost and Work Accountant )
Proven experience in cost accounting within the manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and cost accounting methods.
Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems for cost analysis and reporting.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to management.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards is an advantage.
