Accounting Manager

Report to Controller

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
    • accounts payable/receivable
    • cash receipts
    • general ledger
    • treasury, budgeting
    • revenue and expenditure variance analysis
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Meet financial accounting objectives.
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
  • Support the Controller in managing banking operations while maintaining internal controls over cash disbursements.

Required Skills
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions.
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a service mindset.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or Business with 2+ years of Accounting Manager experience.
  • 7+ years of general accounting experience. CPA not required but a plus to have.
  • QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, Rent Manager and Avid Experience a plus.
  • Experience with and knowledge of an integrated ERP system.

Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills.
