Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for collecting, entering, and reviewing pay data; processing and distributing payroll on a weekly basis for approximately 800+ employees using ADP Workforce Now 2.0 and ADP Enterprise ETime online systems. He/she will process and audit the payroll and ADP Enterprise E-Time (timecards), oversee the complete organization of all payroll files and assist in the development and implementation of improved payroll processes and procedures. The Payroll Specialist must have a firm understanding of payroll theory, possess the ability to apply changes whether legislative in nature or management driven, be able to adhere to rigorous deadlines and be committed to producing a great payroll product using ADP Workforce.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for collecting, entering, and reviewing pay data; processing and distributing payroll on a weekly basis for approximately 800+ employees using ADP Workforce Now 2.0 and ADP Enterprise ETime online systems
  • He/she will process and audit the payroll and ADP Enterprise E-Time (timecards), oversee the complete organization of all payroll files and assist in the development and implementation of improved payroll processes and procedures
  • The Payroll Specialist must have a firm understanding of payroll theory, possess the ability to apply changes whether legislative in nature or management driven, be able to adhere to rigorous deadlines and be committed to producing a great payroll product using ADP Workforce Now 2.0
  • Serving as a point of contact for the Payroll department
  • Processing and maintaining hourly and salary new hires, terminations, direct deposits, status changes, tax changes, deductions, H.S.A., 401K,transfers, commissions, referral rewards, incentives, defer compensation payout, bonuses, FMLA, LOA, STD, benefits, amendments, out of sequence payrolls, liens and wage garnishments
  • Processing of manual checks such as terminations and discrepancies as needed
  • Responding to unemployment requests and tax notices/inquiries
  • Responding to auditing/regulator inquiries as it relates to payroll audit and compliance, providing information/documentation for audit requests
  • May be assigned to perform other duties as needed


Required Qualifications
  • Prior experience processing a weekly payroll in a high volume environment
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Must be a team player, detail oriented and organized with the ability to multi task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proven ability to work independently (self-starter)
