LHH is seeking Bookkeeper for an organization based in Chicago (loop area). The ideal candidate will have three plus years of accounting experience. Day to day duties include accounts payable/accounts receivable functions, journal entries and general ledger maintenance. Any kind of experience with a large reputable not-for-profit organization is highly desired but not required.

Worksite Type: Hybrid (1 days WFH)

Position Type: Temp to hire

Rate: $25-$27/hr., $50-$55k Perm

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage all accounts receivables and collections operations
  • Develop and maintain positive tenant relations
  • Verify and enter invoices in the system
  • Check and approve all vouchers for payment
  • Review invoices for correct documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Compile and sort documents, such as invoices and checks
  • Manage all controllable expenses within budget
  • Ensure reconciliation of all general ledger accounts associated with accounts receivable
  • Manage AR and collections via phone contact and in person meetings, and report status on a weekly basis
  • Deposit and account for collected rents
  • Communicate with property owners and tenants regarding various accounting functions
  • Process all incoming checks
  • Process employee expense reimbursements

  • Associates or Bachelors degree is required
  • QuickBooks online experience is required
  • Three plus years of related experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office applications
  • Good customer service skills
