We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the General Ledger team. This individual will report to the Senior Accountant II and will be responsible for the balance sheet and income statement analysis and presentation. On a thriving team this position requires high proficiency in Excel and the ability to be flexible with changing priorities. This is a highly visible position assisting with the reporting to the Board of Directors, CFO, Senior Vice President and Operations leadership. This position is based in our Branford, CT office.

"Gauges" of Responsibility
  • Actively participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Perform review and complete monthly variance analysis for income statements
  • Prepare key account reconciliation for certain assets and/or liabilities
  • Summarize factors driving month-to-month variances for various balance sheet items
  • Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of internal accounting systems, policies and procedures
  • Assist with year-end internal and external audits
  • Lead special projects and ad hoc reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred
  • Minimum five years of progressive professional experience in accounting is required
  • Proficiency with MS Office with an emphasis on Excel
  • Working knowledge with Oracle Cloud, BPC and Smartsheet is a plus


Minimum Base Salary at $65,000
