NXTGEN is working with an exceptional employer who is highly regarded in East Anglia and London, to support their search in finding a Senior Bookkeeper. You will join a modern and energetic team who are based in their Bury St Edmund's office. Having had an influx of new clients this is a fantastic time to be joining the firm as they're doing better than ever. Having had a surge in clientele who require a top class service, this is a fantastic opportunity who is looking to work on a large portfolio of unique and interesting clients, work alongside some of the best Accountants in the market, as well as dramatically increase your knowledge to progress quicker. You will take on various Bookkeeping & Cloud Accounting responsibilities, including monthly management Accountants, VAT returns, clash flow management & forecasts, manage and delegate transactional duties, whilst being the main point of contact for core clients. You will also support Managers with the teams development as well as working closely with the Head of department on complex queries & problem solving.

There is a number of exciting projects due to commence in the Bury St Edmunds office at the start of 2024, so this is an excellent time to join!

Responsibilities:


Manage bookkeeping tasks for a portfolio of clients with precision and attention to detail.
Prepare Monthly Management Accounts
VAT Returns
Prepare Cash Flow Management & Forecasts
Manage all transactional duties
Work closely with the Head of Department with complex queries and support an problem solvingThe ideal candidate would possess an AAT qualification or equivalent, or be working towards ACCA and experience gained in an Accountancy practice is a must. Candidates should have exceptional communication skills and confidence when handling client queries. Additionally, proficiency with QuickBooks and Xero combined with excellent Excel skills is highly desirable.
