About Business Line

CRD extension projects are customized SSGA solutions and integrating them with CRD system. Charles River (CRD) is a common trading application facilitates the portfolio managers for portfolio construction, order creation and order execution of multiple asset classes. Order creation involves selecting a security and adding order details, and can occur in several places including the Manager Workbench, the blotter, or in an external system. Order execution involves planning how to execute an order and then carrying out the plan. Compliance processing can occur throughout the entire trading process.

Key Responsibilities & Experience Range

The ideal candidate will be:
  • Contribute as a Senior Business Analyst involving in requirement gathering, functional analysis, documentation, integration testing, user acceptance testing and monitoring the Fixed income trading application
  • Requirements includes new functional requirements / projects, trade workflow enhancements, report generations for clients, regulatory requirements, automation projects and migration projects
  • Prepare implementation proposal to the business and IT, and also carry out the testing strategy
  • Deep analysis and detailed understanding of the system and capturing them in details
  • Take over the knowledge from the vendor SME team to support the system from the captive
  • Plan and execute integration and user acceptance testing
  • Perform functional and data analysis for the support queries / defects raised
  • Understand the business priorities and ensure the team delivers those priorities
  • Involve in Agile practice and be as scrum master as required
  • Utilize JIRA and supporting tools effectively, create required dashboard as per the project need
  • Collaborate with various teams (Business, Global IT counterparts, external application counterparts)
  • Communicate effectively in verbal & written communications.

Skills & Knowledge

Qualification & Certifications
  • 8+ years of experience in IT industry as Business Analyst
  • Work experience in Trading systems & Fixed Income
  • Investment Banking domain certification or CFA certification
  • Master's Degree in any discipline

Primary Skills (Must Have)
  • Solid Business Analyst experience in software development of finance application
  • Strong knowledge in investment banking and fixed income asset class
  • Knowledge in Compliance and Regulatory
  • SDLC Agile practice, JIRA Tool
  • Basic database knowledge for simple data analysis independently using SQL queries
  • Experience in creating diagrams, artifacts using the collaborative tools like confluence
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written communications

Secondary Skills (Good to Have)
  • Scrum Master

USP of the Role
  • Good exposure to the Fixed Income asset class domain from the buy side
  • Owning functional design of one of the major asset classes in the investment domain
