Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity
We're currently looking for a talented and dedicated Principal Advisor to join our Finance team in the Wellington National Office. You will contribute to the success of our team through a combination of vision, thought leadership, relationship management and organisational agility.
Our Finance team works to support Te Puni Kōkiri by:

Maintaining the confidence of our senior management team and external stakeholders (Ministers, Treasury, Audit) through sound financial management and reporting
Leading Te Puni Kōkiri's Budget process
Maintaining financial guidelines and policies to provide a safe environment for our kaimahi to operate within
Understanding and delivering on the needs of our stakeholders and building a culture of continuous improvement

Ko wai koe | About you
To be successful in this role you will need:

Strong analytical, strategic and planning skills
An ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and effective networks across and within organisations
Experience in analysing technical issues and making business decisions with financial impact
To demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
Experience in financial management reporting
Strong working knowledge of government financial management legislation, policies and practices
Experience in a similar role and environment would be advantageous
