About Us:

At Direct Line Group, insurance is just the start. Combining decades of industry experience with talented people in every field from data, technology, customer care and auto repair, to HR, finance and procurement , we're a customer-obsessed market powerhouse. And we all work together to be brilliant for customers, every single day.

We've got big dreams of becoming Britain's best retail general insurer. And we're almost there. Our talented, reactive, and communicative finance team are on call to help us do it in a sustainable, profitable way. With close connections to our shareholders, and a commitment to integrity that spans the entire business, our people are no strangers to creating - and maintaining - value on an unbelievable scale.

The Role:

We're looking for a Finance Business Analyst to join our Finance Production Hub. Reporting to our Head of Finance Results and Production, you'll be at the forefront of safeguarding DLG's financial integrity through leading finance data analysis and control, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of DLG's Finance Data.

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll conduct monthly system reconciliation reviews, managing and resolving identified items, and analyse results, communicating findings, such as the impact of system breaks, to key stakeholders.

Help ensure effective financial controls are in place over the completeness and accuracy of DLG's Finance Data. Key responsibilities include:
  • Understanding the end-to-end processes and controls over how Finance Data flows into the General Ledger
  • Identifying opportunities to further enhance the control environment
  • Support the running of DLG's Data Governance Committee which includes reporting on open data incidents and assessing change that could impact DLG's Finance Data

In response to change impacting Finance Data, develop detailed business requirements and specifications. This includes coordinating, guiding, and supporting the implementation of this change along with any associated User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone with experience of working as a Business Analyst in the Finance Domain. You'll be skilled in analysing data, and be familiar with tools like MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, and Confluence to support effective project management and collaboration.

This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, so you should have strong communication skills. You'll also collaborate with off-shore teams, so experience in that context is valuable.

If you've led teams with different skills before, that's a plus.

Let's bring on your best.
