The purpose of our finance department is to add value to TOMRA by delivering high quality, accurate financial results and information to internal stakeholders and proactively partner with other team members in pursuit of business goals.

The Senior Credit Controller is a key role in our Finance team, and it will suit someone that is analytical, dynamic, and flexible. Key responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation's credit policies to minimise risk and optimise cash flow
  • Contribute to the development and compliance to procedures and guidelines to collect credit information, maintain accurate records, and collect overdue accounts to minimise outstanding debt
  • Actively monitors debtors and prepares reports on collection activities and debtors
  • Accountable for meeting set collection targets for debtor management
  • Sets collection targets and standards for the business functions to meet
  • Work as a business partner on all credit related business matters for our Sales, Service and Projects teams and ensure customer issues impacting receiving payment are managed effectively and negotiates appropriate outcomes with customers
  • Manage all credit risk reporting - new and existing customers
  • In conjunction with Finance Manager regularly perform analysis of debtors' ledger and recommend provisions.
  • Recommend proceedings to recover debt and bad-debt write-offs
  • Verify credit references for new customers so that credit applications can be accurately assessed


Required skills & experience:
  • Good knowledge of financial structures and processes
  • Ability to support a strong performance-oriented culture
  • Technically accurate and action orientated
  • Demonstrated business acumen, and ideally exposure across a wide range of industries
  • Ability to assimilate and analyse complex information from disparate sources and provide sound, well-reasoned decisions
  • Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to quickly gain the confidence of colleagues
  • Builds cross functional relationships through trust and maintains them through effective communication
  • Proven 5-10 years' experience in a relevant finance administration role and credit and risk analyst experience
  • Strong related systems knowledge within the Order to Cash cycle
  • Knowledge of the legal processes related to credit risk
  • Experience with Tier 1 or 2 ERP systems
  • Relevant industry experience preferred
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting or Business
