Taitara Mahi - Rates Officer Permanent full-time
Hastings District Council is currently seeking applications for the permanent full-time role of Rates Officer to provide efficient and accurate administrative support to help our busy Finance team deliver effective rating services. This role has an important function within this team to supply accurate and efficient processing of rating information and the successful candidate will be an analytical problem-solver with an excellent eye for detail. This is a permanent full-time (40 hours per week).
The successful candidate will have:

Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service
Microsoft Excel skills to an intermediate level and data input experience
Experience with data analysis, manipulating and analysing large data sets
Initiative and be able to work in a team environment.
A cool and collected manner when working under pressure
Good investigative skills plus an innovative and proactive approach to solving problems
Experience of Local Government rating would be an advantage (but not necessary)
