THE POSITION:
The position will deliver Council's Finance Business Partner function, through pro-actively partnering with senior stakeholders to inform, advise and support financial management decision making and business strategy development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead & manage a small team of Finance Business Partners including; performance management, training and development, workflow coordination and developing a high level of morale and harmony.
  • Pro-actively partner Council's various business units through the provision of insightful & actionable recommendations to assist decision making and improve business outcomes.
  • Develop, manage & coordinate monthly financial performance review processes with senior stakeholders across the organisation. Identify emerging budget issues, forecast and re-forecast budget estimates to provide timely and accurate reporting over Council's EOFY forecast position.
  • Manage & coordinate quarterly and annual budget review cycles, maintain and update Council's four year and Ten Year Financial Plan including the conduct of budget workshops with senior stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the corporate planning process through the preparation of budgetary components of the delivery plan and operational plan.
  • Provide surge support when required to other areas of the Financial Management Team.
  • Work as part of the broader Financial Management Team to innovate and continually improve internal systems and processes.
  • Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training.
  • Observe appropriate AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding day to day operations including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, AlburyCity's Dress Code and Standards Policy and AlburyCity's Code of Conduct.
  • Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.
