About the role:
As the Payroll Processing Consultant, you will work closely with our consultants and enterprise clients, supporting them with their payroll processing, system administration, data validation, and supporting any BAU activities. You will be working across payroll and time and attendance, working alongside the client and vendor and being solution and outcome oriented.
When you are not actively working on client support, you might be supporting other consultants with configuration testing, BAU activities, working on value-add projects or producing high-quality process and training documentation.
Don't worry, you do not need to know everything about every piece of software. We work closely with all our vendors, and you will be supported by us and them.
Key Areas of Responsibility will include:
• Assisting the consulting team in delivering high-quality consultancy services to support our clients including payroll processing
• Forming close relationships with various client stakeholders and truly understanding their business
• Providing support to clients after they 'go-live' by troubleshooting and providing solutions
• Documenting issues, solutions, user guides using a variety of systems (Word, Jira)
• Interpreting legislation, policy and contracts and applying this to software systems
• Conducting unit, scenario, and parallel run testing
• Analyse, validate and interpret complex data sets
• Support the customer in performing data extraction and cleansing in preparation for data migrations
• Help troubleshoot and resolve customer environment problems with assistance from a Senior Consultant or software vendor support team
• Manage customer expectations and be able to communicate status of issues and impacts with relevant stakeholders
Skills and Experience:
• You will be passionate about finding and providing solutions and driven to find answers
• Strong payroll processing experience is a necessity, and you have a good understanding of the NZ legislation and compliance
• PayGlobal experience would be preferred but is not essential
• Always looking to try and improve/enhance processes and practices
• High quality verbal and written communication with the ability to interact with stakeholders at any level
• You are goal and outcome driven, confident, self-motivated, and able to work independently but also in a team environment
• Taking ownership of tasks and delivering high-quality results within the deadlines and timeframes
• Highly flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and evolving payroll requirements
• You like to be constantly learning and challenging yourself
• Technically savvy, quick to learn new systems
• Intermediate to advanced user of the MS Office suite, particularly Word and Excel
• Experience across multiple payroll systems would be preferable but is not essential
• Payroll implementation experience would be an advantage
