Hampidjan NZ Ltd was established in 1997 and is part of the international Hampidjan Group based in Iceland ( which has operations around the world. Its New Zealand Head Office is located in Nelson with branches in Christchurch and Timaru. At the core of the business, is it's supply of services and hardware into the Commercial Fishing, Aquaculture and Marine industry, providing 2 extensive net loft facilities for all net new builds, maintenance, and repair work as well as wire rope supplies and rigging, with a full range of its associated products of nets, ropes, wire, shackles, stainless components, lifting equipment, chain/s, aviation cargo nets and lines. The business has expanded recently into the civil construction equipment supplies, agriculture, and aviation sectors where we now offer a full range of equipment testing through to test certification to meet various industry standards including aviation. Hampidjan has become a diverse supplier to a wide range of industries as customers.About the JobWe are seeking an experienced Finance Manager. You will demonstrate financial leadership, initiative, innovation and have a business savvy approach to the financial dealings of a business. The position is responsible for the overall finance functions, including accurate financial reporting, audit requirements, budgeting, managing the financial administrative and support structures of the business and its divisions.
The position is also responsible for overseeing improvement of financially related internal controls and processes across the wider organisation and to support the operations through sound financial management practices.
This position is an integral member of the team and is expected to develop a working knowledge of organisational goals and objectives and contribute to the achievement of these to the best of their ability.
Hampidjan New Zealand Ltd is a multi-faceted business and requires a “roll the sleeves” up mentality.
About YouWe are looking for an individual who has excellent communication & interpersonal skills with a thorough understanding of financial practices and a working knowledge of accounting systems and processes. You will also have:

CPA, CA or ACA qualification preferred.
Financial leadership qualities backed up by exceptional analytical and numerical skills.
2-5 years demonstrated senior financial team management, reporting and control experience.
Proven ability to translate operational scenarios into corresponding financial transactions.
Experience in identifying and retrieving appropriate business information to support reconciliations, forecasts, business and financial reporting.
Proven ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders
A strong track record of providing financial guidance and support to management.
Excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools.
You will bring outstanding interpersonal skills and work ethic, always conducting yourself in a professional manner.
