Senior Payroll Accounting Analyst This New York-based position will play an integral role in the SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) system from a Payroll costing to a General Ledger functional perspective. Successful candidates must have a thorough understanding and solid foundation of Payroll accounting theory with the proven ability to apply those principles in executing job duties with limited supervision. Additionally, understand multi-entity accounting for Intercompany Payroll Analysis or data reviews are needed.
Experience with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc. and familiarity with associated system ad hoc query reports. Ability to extract and report on data using Excel formulas. Proficient in Excel functionality, including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Concatenate, and related functions, using pivot tables, auditing formulas, filtering, and sorting data. Must have good organization and documentation skills. Reconcile weekly and monthly SAP ECP Payroll costing reports to the Division GL files transferred for posting. Strong collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to meet the the demand of time-sensitive deadlines. Review and communicate data to key Company financial customers while applying discretion and good judgment regarding sensitive information. Respond to and maintain written and verbal communication with internal financial customers. UAT Participation to test any ongoing Payroll GL costing data changes, including future changes to a new SAP code block. Participate in implementation meetings for the new SAP FI system Perform general ledger analysis of payroll accounts as needed. Special Accounting Projects are assigned as needed.(some Union reporting/reconciliation)
