As Payroll & Benefits Specialist, you will report to the Assistant Controller. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Process bi-weekly payroll utilizing Ceridian Dayforce software.
Process monthly eligibility for company health insurance plan as well as annual open enrollment.
Maintain the accuracy and completeness of employee records.
Maintain, analyze and reconcile data in MS Excel. Consistently demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Excel.
Record changes affecting net wages, such as federal, state, and local taxes, voluntary and involuntary deductions, and insurance coverage for each employee.
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
Perform audits to ensure data is accurate for payroll processing and administration.
Prepare and import payroll financial data into the accounting system.
Minimum 2 years Payroll experience with a demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of an outsourced payroll provider, preferably Ceridian/Dayforce.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Intermediate Excel experience.
Excellent research and data analysis skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
Basic knowledge in local, state and federal wage and hour laws.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate and work on multiple tasks at the same time, and meet required deadlines.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all sensitive and confidential payroll and Company information.
Willingness to work additional hours during payroll processing weeks.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting
Experience as a payroll professional or similar role
Experience working with payroll software programs
Experience working in accounting systems
