Fairway Import-Export Inc, & Subsidiaries is actively seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team in Carson City, NV.

Reports to: Controller

Hours/Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm (Must be flexible based on business needs)

About the role:You will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual and financial records for our company, processing accounting transactions like posting debits and credits, inventory adjustments, filing tax returns, prepare bank reconciliations,....

What you'll do: Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports.
Overseen inventory control in SAGE 100 that includes Adjustments, Transfers and receipt processing.
Assist external auditors when applicable typically bi annual.
Review, Verify and post PO receipts and invoices.
Responsible for Bill of Material transactions and cost accounting transactions.
Fixed assets maintenance and reconcile to GL, as well as post monthly depreciation journals.
Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets.
Reconcile bank statements.
Prepare Borrowing base certificates.
Generate slow moving reports.
Perform inventory audits.
Process end of day invoice batching and posting.
Create new processes to improve financial efficiencies.
Report analysis and findings to management team.

Our ideal candidate: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in accounting major; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the accounting field.
Previous Cost Accounting experience in a Manufacturing Company is preferred.
Minimum 3 years or more working as a staff accountant.
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
Experience with SAGE accounting programs and reporting tools- Crystal Reports experience helpful.
Detail and deadline-oriented.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong computer skills, excel VLOOKUP, Pivot tables Required.
ERP system experience is required.
Accurately keystroke a minimum of 50 wpm.
10-key by touch.
