Bailey's is seeking a skilled, responsible, and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to help support our busy team. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is willing to assist with a variety of payroll and office tasks. Job Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for employees in the organization on appropriate pay dates.
  • Maintain personnel database regarding salaries, updating rates, and working directly with HR on compensation analysis.
  • Report to department supervisor regarding daily activities and issues.
  • Address and resolve employee complaints relating to the payroll system, including software assistance for logging in and timeclock.
  • Work with company database programs to process payroll and investigate errors.
  • Prepare reports to relevant departments about payroll, company budget and expenses.
  • Employee profile and file management for all electronic files within payroll and Human Resources Information System.
  • Conducts regular verification of employment in relation to the payroll aspect of a request for employees.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Performing account balance and payroll reconciliation with the finance and accounting department as needed.
  • Preparing financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in HR/Payroll or another related field, preferred by not required.
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience within an office setting or business operations field.
    • Minimum of 1 year of prior payroll experience required.
    • CPP certification preferred.

        Job Type: Full-time

        Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

        In Office: 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
