About the Position:

The HVAC Assistant Credit Manager plays a critical role in our financial operations, focusing on credit management within the HVAC industry. This position involves assisting in overseeing credit processes, assessing customer creditworthiness, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

Assist in evaluating the creditworthiness of HVAC customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
Contribute to the development of credit scoring models and risk assessment tools.
Work closely with the Credit Manager to enforce and enhance credit policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with credit terms, payment terms, and credit limits.
Communicate with HVAC customers regarding credit-related matters, including credit applications, payment terms, and credit limit adjustments.
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address credit concerns.
Assist in monitoring and managing overdue accounts.
Collaborate with collection agencies and legal teams when necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files for HVAC customers.
Prepare and present credit reports to management, highlighting trends and potential risks.
Assist in the maintenance of accurate records related to credit approvals, denials, and adjustments.
Ensure that all credit-related documentation is organized and easily accessible.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The HVAC Assistant Credit Manager does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but collaborates with credit and finance teams to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications, Attributes, Education, and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
Previous experience in credit management or financial analysis, with exposure to the HVAC industry being a plus.
Understanding of financial statements, credit scoring models, and risk assessment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in credit assessments and documentation.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with financial analysis tools and credit management software.
Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for tracking and managing credit-related data.
