JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for preparing, recording, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting on financial information, including accounts receivable, expense entries, payroll, and inventory. Responsible for forecasting and budgeting financial results monthly and yearly for Avail Infrastructure. Provides detailed project data for business analytics and project performance reviews.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ACCOUNTING
  • Maintain Project Summary Report schedule showing accumulated costs, estimated costs, gross margin, and other project cost details. Manage percentage of completion accounting including contract assets and liabilities.
  • Prepare and distribute accounting reports as instructed (weekly results, labor hour reporting and other management reports).
  • Sort, compile, and enter data into financial systems to ensure accurate and expedient processing for month end closing.
  • Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules so that the organization has a full and accurate statement of its financial position.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts, and yearly budgets.

OTHER DUTIES
  • Supports Project Management team with project review, data analysis and project management department phase gate reviews.
  • Analyze actual manufacturing costs, review compared to standard costs and investigate cost deviations to determine variance explanations.
  • Maintain KPIs and other metrics.
  • Responsible for site inventory accounting accuracy and assists with organizing and performing an annual full physical inventory.
  • Interface with Internal and External audit as needed.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.


PROFILE LEVEL DESCRIPTION
  • Completes work with a limited degree of supervision.
  • Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures, provides support, and technical accounting to operations.
  • Understand the overall accounting function's role, key policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 5+ years' experience - manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Well organized and able to function within tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Excel with experience in financial ERP systems (Oracle, EPB, Business Intelligence)
  • Experience in percent of completion revenue recognition preferred.
  • And/or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Experience with an ERP, preferably Oracle
  • Experience with a timekeeping system
  • Familiarity with Data Analytics
