We are recruiting an Accounts Officer on a fixed term contract to be based at our Adult Hospice. Working within our busy Finance Department your main responsibilities will be to assist the Management Accountant in the production of financial management information; this will include inputting of accounting journals, reconciliation of bank accounts, raising of sales invoices and credit control. Ideally a minimum of two years experience working within an accounting environment is required, you will also need the relevant Finance related qualification(s) i.e AAT Level 2 upwards/equivalent or possess a financially based skillset with relevant experience in accounting as per the duties and responsibilities set out in the job description. You will have great communication skills both written and verbally and be confident in using Microsoft packages - especially Office, Excel and Word. You will be expected to work to deadlines so you must be highly organised and be able to prioritise tasks whilst ensuring work is accurate. Full details of the role included in the job description. Contract: Fixed term contract to cover maternity leave (expected to be 12 months) Hours: 19.5 hours a week over 3/4 days (must include a Friday)
Full time equivalent: £22,000 - £25,000 (depending on skills, knowledge and experience) Actual salary pro rata: £11,440 - £13,000 (depending on skills, knowledge and experience)
