Skipton Business Finance Limited is an autonomous subsidiary within Skipton Building Society Group.

SBF provides current asset based financial support to owner managed companies throughout the UK.

As part of the companies growth aspirations we are seeking an experienced invoice finance professional to head up a client facing Operations team in Scotland.

The expectation is this individual will be responsible for initially handling a small portfolio and assist the Scottish New business team with the growth of the region.

Recruitment for further Operations staff will be actioned at various portfolio size milestones (to be discussed).

Intention is to operate from a serviced office in and around Glasgow (primary responsibility for sourcing said office will vest with the ROM) with administration support provided from the centre as required.

The role will report into the Client Services Director.

Location

Glasgow Office - presence at the Head Office in Skipton, North Yorkshire / Other Regional Offices as required.

The Role

The purpose of the role is initially manage a small portfolio of high value clients including new clients sourced by the region, recruit manage, train and develop a team of Relationship Managers and client facing support staff in line with the growth of the Scottish portfolio and to assist the development of the Regional Office via supporting the New Business function in terms of new business surveys / underwriting (as part of a 4 eyes panel) and introducer development.

The job-holder will be required to attend various social functions within the professional community as well as networking events throughout the year so flexibility in working practice is required.

Tools to be Provided

The individual will be provided with a car allowance (£650 pm), laptop, mobile phone, full expenses, SBF Group pension and private medical insurance.

Qualifications and Key Skills

The successful applicant will have been educated to degree level ideally in a business studies / accountancy discipline, with a least 3 years work experience in an Invoice Finance environment.
