JPMorgan Asset Management’s Global Fixed Income, Commodities and Currency is a market leader managing over $654bn in a broad range of fixed income strategies for institutional, sovereign and retail investors around the world. The EMEA business is headquartered in London and represents a significant asset base and range of strategies, supporting clients both globally and across the region.
The global unconstrained fixed income team manages over USD 15 billion where we offer a range of investment funds and separate accounts for some of our most sophisticated institutional investors. The candidate will interact closely with a number of our investment teams located in London and New York to service our global client base.
As an Investment Specialist, you will be fully integrated with the investment team to ensure that as much of the PM’s time as possible is devoted to investing. You will represent the client in the investment process, and you will act as the voice of the investment desk when interacting with other departments and functions.
You will be closely involved in product development, investment reporting, market commentary and business development. You will have the opportunity to participate in investment strategy meetings, present to clients and internal audiences, build new products and investment capabilities and contribute to the fixed income business’s overall strategy.
Job responsibilities

You will work in close partnership with Portfolio Managers, including on business strategy, product strategy and distribution strategy for the EMEA region.
You will be accountable for client and RFP materials as well as internal marketing tools, and to promote the strategies they represent internally and externally. Engaging with the sales teams across distribution channels is essential to jointly develop distribution strategy, targets and tactical plans.
You will partner with the Client Advisor and, where appropriate, the consultant sales team, to pitch for new business and will be the voice of the strategies in conferences, road shows, seminars and training. The IS responsibilities also include implementing guidelines and coordinating with other teams to ensure smooth on-boarding for new wins.
The Investment Specialist team is the primary point of contact with the client on investment matters, i.e., portfolio results and positioning. As such, you must have complete credibility with both the PM and the client. You will conduct Quarterly/Annual account reviews and is responsible for ensuring that the client has the information they need to be fully informed.
You will also be responsible for overseeing and coordinating monthly portfolio and fund reporting, including commentaries and performance data, working closely with internal teams that produce this content. They will work closely with different groups including: investment specialists, portfolio managers, sales channels and other internal support and operations groups.
The EMEA Global Unconstrained Investment Specialist will work in close partnership with the lead ISs to cover clients in the EMEA and APAC region.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

You hold BA/BS undergraduate degree preferably with strong financial background
You have solid understanding of fixed income and credit markets
You are solution-oriented and consultative approach with sophisticated clients
You have ability to act as a fiduciary, with strong work ethic and positive attitude
You are team player, combined with the ability to work on own initiative and able to prioritize issues and respond in a timely manner
You demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and oral; developed interpersonal, presentation skills and ability to deal with clients and colleagues at all levels
You demonstrate strong knowledge of Bloomberg, PowerPoint, and advanced level of Excel; proficiency with Macros etc.
