Finance Assistant

As our client continues to grow rapidly within its sector, they are now looking to recruit a highly motivated Finance Assistant to join a busy accounts team, managing residential/commercial properties, auctions and estates.

This role would suit someone with previous experience working in Accounts or someone who has either recently graduated with a degree in Finance/Accountancy or completed AAT Level 2 looking to kick start their career.

Main Job

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate, robust and up-to-date accounts records
  • Day to day bank account balancing
  • Inputting payments receipts and invoices
  • Dealing with service charge receipts
  • Accurately applying Direct debit/standing order and cheque payments
  • Invoice entry and supplier payments
  • Taking card payments over the telephone
  • Dealing with customer and client enquiries
  • Preparing client statements and reports
  • Issuing monthly reports/demands to clients
  • Assist with year end accounts for handover to Accountants

Requirements:
  • Previous work experience in Finance or studying accounts either AAT or a relevant degree would be preferred.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly, contributing to the work of others in the team and to provide support across the organisation
  • Strong Computer literacy skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail whilst balancing a varied workload
  • Ability to manage your time effectively enabling you to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and professional approach to working with colleagues and clients

Hours:

This position is full time. You will be required to work 35 hours a week. Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
