OVERALL SUMMARY

Managing and leading the FP&A function and team, you will provide strategic financial insights of the business divisions to drive continuous improvement in their growth plans and support key decision-making processes. You will collaborate with various stakeholders including the CEO and Executive team members, providing value-added, in-depth analysis and financial modelling to support strategic initiatives, including new product launches, bespoke hires and acquisitions.

This role involves overseeing the development and production of high-quality management information for an integrated wealth management business, measuring financial performance, coordinating the annual budget, 3-year plan and financial modelling for ICAAP / ICARA, as well monthly forecasting.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Management of the financial planning & analysis (FP&A) function; setting objectives and providing feedback and coaching to the team
  • Business partnering to senior managers and business leaders, including budgeting, decision support, monthly reporting, and ad-hoc analysis as needed
  • Overseeing the forecasting, budgeting, and planning process, providing meaningful challenge to the projections while ensuring buy-in and ownership by the business heads of their targets
  • Timely and efficient production of regular management information, including board packs, segmental P&L's, and presentation of results to the executive committee and CEO
  • Development and enhancement of financial modelling capabilities to support the business in evaluating the impact of major strategic initiatives
  • Continuous enhancement and improvement of management reporting; working with other areas of the business including IT and data services to improve data quality and develop new reports
  • Encouraging new ideas and focus areas within the team and with senior management including identifying insightful information outside of the standard MI production
  • Liaise with Group Finance and Investor Relations teams to provide analysis to assist in understanding and communicating the business's performance to analysts and investors
  • Responsibility for systems and tools within the team along with supplier relationship management for those

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) with previous leadership, financial analysis, and management reporting experience
  • Proven FP&A leader in financial services with a good core knowledge of the investment management industry including products and services is highly desired
  • Experience presenting financial and operating performance to senior management, including at board level. Excellent Power Point and Excel skills (including Power BI) are a requirement
  • Energetic, proactive, personable self-starter, with ability to manage and develop a team and to motivate and energise others. He/she should demonstrate a high degree of personal confidence and the communication skills necessary to interact with all levels of the organisation
  • Hands on approach and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • Demonstrated problem solving experience in working with other areas of a business to improve processes, enhance quality of management information, and source key data required to measure business performance
  • Demonstrated experience with system enhancements and/or implementations
