My client are a water sector leading solutions provider, they are looking for a skilled Project Analyst to join their Finance team in Manchester. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance within their Advance Joint Venture Framework, this role is crucial for precise financial reporting and process adherence.
Responsibilities: Project Analyst
- Collate and upload staff time and expenses into IFS weekly.
- Pre-agree staff expenses before allocation.
- Review and reconcile costs for accuracy.
- Apply internal and sales rates across the JV regularly.
- Identify and escalate missing rates to Central Business Finance.
- Assist in cost transfers for accurate Project reporting.
- Update project structures and cost allocation as required.
- Support the Head of Finance in meeting month-end deadlines.
- Ensure strict adherence to revenue recognition policy.
- Administer project start-up within IFS.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Finance procedures.
- Build relationships and enhance collaboration with project teams.
- Undertake other finance tasks and reporting as needed.
- Maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach.
- Ensure confidentiality in all interactions.
Key Requirements: Project Analyst
- Expert in Excel and complex data reconciliation.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Proactive, motivated, and analytical.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Experience in a large business or Joint Venture environment would be beneficial.
- Previous work in a finance team would be preferable.
