Working Arrangement: Hybrid - 2 days home, 3 days office
As an Accounts Assistant with a focus on CIS/Subcontractor experience, you will play a crucial role in the finance team. The role involves a hybrid working arrangement, with the flexibility to work 2 days from home and 3 days in the office.
Setting up Subcontractors on the system:
Obtain and input relevant information accurately.
Verifying CIS Status:
Ensure compliance with Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) regulations.
Understanding Labour/Materials Splits:
Comprehend and apply the necessary requirements for labor/materials splits on applications.
Subcontractor Payment Process:
Manage applications, notices, and certificates related to subcontractor payments. Maintain clear and effective communication with subcontractors.
Prepare payment runs for approval, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Cover for annual leave by processing purchase ledger (PL) invoices. Handle employee expenses during periods of annual leave.
Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. Conduct credit card reconciliations.
Maintain good communication with subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Ad Hoc Tasks:
Address other ad hoc tasks that may arise, contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance function.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in a similar role, with a focus on CIS/Subcontractor processes. Strong understanding of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) regulations. Proficient in relevant accounting software and MS Office suite. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and accuracy.
