We’re looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join us and provide strategic support in the delivery of high-profile projects across our Co-op. In this role, we’ll look to you to take the financial lead on the delivery of our systems transformation whilst considering our total Head Office costs. You’ll write strong business cases to bring to life the transformation, making sure they deliver value for money and ultimately help us deliver excellent benefits.
You’ll play a key role supporting our colleagues on the strategy and execution of the system transformation roadmap and other big-scale transformation projects and operating model activities across the business. You’ll be working across our Corporate Costs team within Financial Planning & Analysis to deliver benefits for our colleagues, members, and customers.

What you’ll do

Take the lead from a finance perspective of the delivery of system transformation projects, including budgets of end-to-end projects and managing spend and performance of individual business cases
Collaborate with wider senior team leaders to gather insights of total corporate cost performance, bringing your expertise to suggest and recommend best practice for financial planning
Lead on period reporting insight and analysing the data to provide insight and tell a story and shape important business decisions
Provide support, challenge, and influence to make sure that initiatives are carried out efficiently, and benefits are delivered
Build and manage relationships with partners and leaders across the business to identify improvement opportunities to optimise performance and maintaining a low-cost base
Provide an objective view and approach, joining the dots to make sure that strategy, priorities, and resource allocation are aligned
Tracking that all plans are delivered to target and internal quality standards
Lead, mentor and support the development of a lead financial analyst

This role would suit people who have

A relevant financial qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent), with significant experience as a finance business partner supporting at a senior level
The ability to build strong relationships with colleagues up to executive level, challenging and influencing where necessary
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-financial audiences in a compelling way
Strong core finance and analytical skills, with an understanding of planning and forecasting processes, with previous project or programme experience
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively
