Working Hours: 40 Hrs per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 Hrs to 17:30 Hrs.

Role Summary:

We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team. This position plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting our commercial activities. The Commercial Manager will act as an in-house legal adviser, providing legal advice on, and drafting, various commercial contracts and supporting documents. This role requires a keen eye for detail, as well as a thorough understanding of the legal aspects of commercial transactions and business operations.

In addition to focusing on commercial activities, the Commercial Manager will support the Financial Controller with contract maintenance, dispute resolution, adding value to our team through their broad business acumen and legal expertise. A crucial part of this role involves supporting our financial and business development teams in standardising contractual terms and aligning customer contracts with our business requirements.

You will work with the site teams to ensure excellent service delivery and that our clients have a better day, every day.

Your responsibilities and Key Areas of work may include:

- Drafting and revising contracts, review of customer framework contracts and support negotiations.
- Risk management of customer / framework contractual terms and contractual governance.
- Ensuring that all contracts are accurate and relevant documentation is correct and updated when necessary.
- Provide commercial and legal support as required regarding contractual changes.
- Support the Financial Controller with billing dispute resolution to expedite collections.
- Review commercial processes regularly and ensure these are fit for purpose.
- Set up and maintenance of commercial contract database.
- Take ownership of the yearly price increase exercise; liaise with relevant internal stakeholders and manage communication with customers.
- Act as a commercial focal point, provide commercial advice and support day-to-day activities.
- Support Financial controller in their review & development our systems and/or processes.
- Support procurement with the commercial review of supplier contracts and agreements including the identification of contractual and financial risks, and lead risk mitigation negotiations.
- Develop commercial relationships with the customer and other contractual partners to promote contractual compliance and resolve commercial risks and issues in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Collecting and collating data for forecasting and planning purposes.
- Manage supplier performance and ensure the best value for money is being delivered.
- Identify and research potential new suppliers and ensure costs are competitive.
- Monitor business trends and product availability to pay the best price for Company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.


- Have experience of drafting commercial contracts, with a keen eye for detail.
- Must be commercially astute and have experience with advising on commercial terms and conditions.
- Must be comfortable with managing contract databases and dealing with both planned yearly and unplanned occasional contract amendments.
- Strong client-facing skills are required.
- Have a high level of numerical accuracy with an operational understanding of numbers.
- Financial acumen and the ability to work closely with financial and business development teams.
- Proficiency in project management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively manage supplier relationships.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (including Excel and Outlook) and Finance systems, with the ability to produce reports and make recommendations.


- At least 5 years` experience in a similar role.
-Be an excellent communicator with the ability to confidently and credibly engage and influence suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proven record of being responsive and innovative.
- Highly organised with the ability to work effectively with a team and independently to defined deadlines.
- Ability to interact and work across multi-functional teams.
- Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet Company core values.
