Bringing it to the role.

We are seeking a dynamic and detailed Financial Reporting Manager to join our Control team on a 12 month maternity leave cover. Reporting to the Assistant Finance Controller, you will run the reporting and accounting for both KFC in the UK and Ireland ensuring accurate and timely close to the Yum! team where required.

  • Quarterly and periodic reporting to Yum! Brands Inc. for KFC UK & Ireland and/or subsidiary companies
  • Lead on statutory accounts preparation for KFC UK (including Germany branch) and preparation for 2024 audit and statutory accounts for newly acquired companies.
  • Managing team of direct reports who look after semi-fixed and fixed costs for the business, including completion and review of account Reconciliations to ensure they are completed on a timely basis.
  • Coach and support your team to reach their full potential.
  • Revenue recognition accounting for Franchise Fees and Development Agreements, liaising with legal and development teams as appropriate.
  • Support with integration of acquired businesses to ensure robust reporting procedures in place and assist with key judgements e.g. dilapidations and close store provisions.
  • Ensure quarterly budgeting process is completed for semi-fixed and fixed costs for KFC GB and subsidiaries.
  • Liaise with development and tech teams to ensure timely recharges to franchisees.
  • Ensure key processes adhere to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and provide timely updates and reviews to the SOX team.

What we'd love from you

  • Statutory accounting experience (essential)
  • Previous experience in a commercially focused environment preferable but not required.
  • Group reporting experience desirable
  • US GAAP experience desirable
  • SOX compliance experience beneficial, however not essential
  • Experience of Oracle JD Edwards beneficial, however not essential

  • Strong business partnering
  • Consistent performer who works well with all stakeholders
  • Willing to challenge and get into the detail.
  • Able to present numbers clearly and pull-out key movements.
  • Desire to follow and improve processes where required.


Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
