InterQuest are delighted to be working with one of our most prestigious clients who are an industry leader in the software sector, supporting them with the recruitment of an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their thriving team in Northampton where there is a 50% hybrid working in place. The role will pay a competitive salary (available on request).

You will execute account receivable & cash management processes and ensure that all payments received are posted accurately and efficiently and all supplier payments are paid promptly.

What is expected of the Accounts Receivable Assistant?

- Responsible for batching, processing and posting of payments ensuring its accuracy to maximize cash flow.
- Clarify any payments that could not automatically be applied and manual application.
- Process refunds to customers in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assisting with other finance department deadlines as required during peak periods
- To collate, record and action daily banking, including all forms of customer payments.
- Process daily banking into the cash book and general ledger.
- To manage and reconcile the direct debit system in a timely manner to achieve monthly deadlines
- To ensure supplier payments are made promptly
- To carry out daily reconciliations on the company's main bank accounts
- Ensure all allocated queries & tickets resolution are managed ensuring quality and quick response to customers and departmental members
- Monitor the request levels to ensure SLAs are achieved.
- Confirm account balances as and when requested by customers.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure continuous communication regarding the allocation of cash receipts.

- Must be able to prioritise and make decisions in the given framework for actions;
- Must be an effective and confident communicator (written and verbal)
- Experience working within accounts receivable
